The Subsurface Utility Engineering Association (SUEA) invites the submission of abstracts of proposals for presentations for its third annual conference. The originally scheduled event was to be held July 15-16, 2020 at the Curtis Hotel in Denver, Colorado, but it has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus restrictions on gatherings and the unknown duration of those restrictions. A new conference date will be announced once the Coronavirus restrictions have been lifted.
Presentations should be no longer than 60 minutes in length, including time for audience Q&A. PowerPoint is suggested and encouraged, but not mandatory. Panel or roundtable discussions are also encouraged, with or without PowerPoint.
Topics may include, but are not limited to the following SUE-related subject matter areas:
Methodologies and Best Practices
Risk Management Case Studies
Legislative Case Studies
Workforce Development, Training, and Education
SUE Project Delivery via ASCE 38
New/Emerging Markets and Applications
SUE vs. Locating
Proposals for presentations should include:
- Author/Presenter name(s)
- Presentation title (10 words or fewer)
- Company/Agency name
- Complete address, phone, and email information
- Brief presenter biography (25 words or fewer)
- Abstract (500 characters/150 words or fewer): Do not include information in your abstract that will not be in your presentation
- Proposed length of presentation session
Presentations should contribute to the body of knowledge in the SUE community. All presentations must be noncommercial. It is not permissible for presenters to advertise or promote a product, service, or company.
