SUE Association Announces National Conference

Fairfax, VA – The Subsurface Utility Engineering Association (SUEA) today announced that profession leaders and subject matter experts in Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) will convene in Silver Spring, Maryland, on September 16–18 for the association's annual conference.

The event will feature an outstanding program of speakers, presentations, and discussions focused on the state-of-the-art practice in SUE, including topics such as new markets, emerging technology, policy and legislation, and practice issues relevant to the professional SUE community.

“This year’s conference will bring together the brightest minds and most engaged professionals in our field,” said Daniel Checchia, National Discipline Leader for SUE Services and Utility Coordination at Colliers Engineering and Design, Inc., and President of the SUE Association. “We’ll focus on new opportunities and challenges facing our industry, with sessions designed to both inform and inspire.”

Formed in 2018, the SUE Association seeks to educate and inform the user community about Subsurface Utility Engineering, expand the SUE market, and promote best practices in the delivery of professional services through ASCE 38-22, the Standard Guideline for Investigating and Documenting Existing Utilities.

The conference will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC Silver Spring, located at 8777 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD. The event will feature:

• Professional service providers and industry innovators
