Describe your company.
We are experts in Subsurface Utility Engineering, and we build confidence for and with our clients by investigating, designating, surveying, and mapping underground utilities. We also provide traditional survey services including topography, boundary, and as-built surveys. We have offices in Maryland and New Jersey, and we have worked all over the country and overseas.
How many years has your company been in business?
We’ve been in business for over 20 years. It’s been fun growing alongside the SUE profession.
Why did you join the SUE Association?
The SUE Association was the brainchild of one of our company's founders, John Berrettini. He served as the first president of the SUE Association and is still active today. As early practitioners of SUE, we see a benefit in bringing together like-minded companies to collaborate, educate, and promote SUE services within the larger AEC community. We value learning from and with our colleagues.
What would you say separates you form your competitors?
Our key technical staff and executives have an average of 18 years of SUE specific experience and 25 years when considering experience in fields closely related to SUE. We are adept at consulting with our clients on how SUE can be applied to address their unique project goals. Our investment in building an always-learning culture keeps us at the forefront of advancements in technology and technique.
Describe your customer base.
We are proud to have agencies at all levels of government, engineers, architects, residential and commercial developers, utility providers, landscape architects, and more as our valued clients.
What is a fun fact about your company?
Our headquarters is easy to find thanks to our Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) within the KeyNetGPS VRS Network (AID1). While most of our work is in the Baltimore/Washington area and nearby states, we’re no strangers to travel—covering the East Coast, Midwest, and even international assignments in Djibouti, Bahrain, and Japan.
